BP: No Plans To Sell German Fuels Distribution Business

LONDON (Dow Jones)--BP PLC (BP) has no plans to sell it fuel distribution business in Germany, called Aral, because it is a core operation, said a company spokeswoman Monday. BP has said it will raise $30 billion by selling oil and gas exploration and production assets, but it has, "no plans for major divestments in the downstream," she said. German weekly magazine WirtschaftsWoche reported over the weekend that BP would sell all 2,500 Aral petrol stations in Germany.
