BP Chief Economist Calls For Global Deep Water Standards -Report

FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)--BP PLC's (BP) Chief Economist Christof Ruehl calls for common global security standards for deep water drilling in an advanced copy of an interview on Germany's WDR radio station released in part on the radio station's website. Ruehl says Gulf of Mexico disaster could be repeated at any time and questions why the risks involved in deep water drilling should be increased through a lack of unified national systems.
