DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Seven financial firms are in talks to become advisers to BP PLC (BP, BP.LN), Fox Business Network's Charles Gasparino reports Thursday. Gasparino had already reported that Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), Blackstone Group LLP (BX) and Credit Suisse (CS) were in negotiations with BP. Thursday, Gasparino said HSBC PLC (HBC), Morgan Stanley (MS), UBS AG (UBS) and Standard Chartered PLC (2888.HK) are also in talks with the oil company. BP is offering the firms advisory positions in exchange for credit guarantees in the event the company seeks to raise capital.
