(Sharecast News) - A consortium including Blackstone and Thomson Reuters has sold 33.3m shares in London Stock Exchange Group in a placing.

According to a regulatory filing on Wednesday, the placing was upsized from 28m shares and the shares were sold at 8,050p each via a placing to institutional investors and a separate offer to retail investors.

Proceeds from the sale are around £2.7bn.

Barclays, Citigroup, JPMorgan and Merrill Lynch acted as joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners in connection with the placing.
