Berendsen confirms Cleanroom unit in CMA probe

(ShareCast News) - Textile services company Berendsen confirmed its UK Cleanroom business was being investigated by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).In a statement, the company said the probe related to a joint venture to which a Berendsen subsidiary was a party, including in relation to agreements entered into by the joint venture in May 2012.The subsidiary was acquired by Berendsen in September 2014. The joint venture and the agreements were terminated in February 2016."Berendsen is co-operating fully with the CMA and will update the market on the development of the investigation as appropriate," the company said.
