DOW JONES NEWSWIRES BAE Systems PLC (BA.LN), the U.K.'s biggest defense company, is expected to announce an order from India for Hawk trainer aircraft worth around GBP500 million in the coming weeks, U.K. newspaper The Daily Telegraph reports Wednesday, without citing specific sources. Negotiations for the contract for between 50 and 60 aircraft are well advanced, and an announcement could come in the next fortnight, the newspaper reported.
