Babcock appoints new CEO of International arm

Babcock International's Finance Director Bill Tame has been appointed as Chief Executive of the engineering support services company's enlarged international division.Tame will head the South African operations, the Avincis helicopter services group and business development in the Middle East.Franco Martinelli will take over as Finance Director. He has been the firm's Financial Controller for the past 12 years. Chairman Mike Turner said: "I am pleased to announce these appointments which highlight the strength of Babcock's senior management team and the robust succession planning processes we have in place. "Bill will provide strong leadership for the international division. Franco has a depth of knowledge of the financial management of the group and will provide continuity and effective management across all areas of the group's finance function and I look forward to welcoming him to the board."Shares rose 5p or 0.45% to 1125p at 08:28 in London.RD
