Digital social media platform Audioboom secured an agreement with Cloud Africa, an African mobile content aggregator.Audioboom said it will deliver its software-as-a-service platform, audio content and digital audio advertising to around 100m mobile users in Africa.The group will generate revenues with this business through shared earnings from data packages purchased by mobile subscribers and via advertisement and branding.Chief executive Rob Proctor said: "The potential in this market is clear to see and working with a premium partner like Cloud Africa, who already have several significant partnerships and a presence throughout the continent, makes it even more of an attractive proposition."Cloud Africa's chief executive Rajesh Parmar said the deal will "enable local brands and businesses to effectively engage and monetise the mobile channel through the power of premium audio content and strong call-to-action advertising".Shares were up 4% to 10.4p on Thursday at 15:54.
