AstraZeneca brings on board Mastercard executive

Pharmaceutical group AstraZeneca has announced that the President of Master Card's International Markets division, Ann Cairns, will be proposed to shareholders for election as a non-executive director.The board has also suggested appointing Cairns to the group's audit committee at upon her election at the company's annual general meeting (AGM) on April 24th.All current Directors of the group will be presenting themselves for re-election, in accordance with AstraZeneca's normal practice, at the Company's AGM.As of 11:36 the share price had dropped by 1.2% to 3927.5p.WS
