Assura takeover talks end

Pharmacy and GP services supplier Assura said it is no longer in takeover talks. The group said the discussions were terminated after the parties from whom approaches were received have confirmed that they do not intend to pursue an offer.Assura announced on 15 January that it was in preliminary discussions that may or may not result in an offer being made for the company. The group's shares closed 21% higher at 46p that day.
