Anglo American's HR Director steps down

Anglo American's Group Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs has decided to step down.Mervyn Walker will retire on June 30th after six years in the role. The group said a successor will be announced in due course."The completion of our new organisational structure, providing the platform for future success, will mark the right moment for me to retire," Walker said."The quality and values of Anglo American's people and the way they engage, whether with one another or with our myriad of stakeholders, is one of our company's strong differentiating factors. I have enjoyed working with so many of those people and wish them the very best for the future."Walker will see through the implementation the new organisational structure over the next three months before leaving.
