LONDON (Dow Jones)--The global supply of nickel is expected to fall 20,000 tons short of demand in 2010, the chief executive of Anglo American PLC (AA.LN) said Friday. "We believe there is a deficit due to operational issues" related to Anglo's peers, Cynthia Carroll said in a call with reporters. With regard to the commodities market overall, Carroll said "We have seen quite a lot of volatility in the first six months [but]...we are overall bullish in the medium to longer term."
