By Jonathan Buck Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES FARNBOROUGH, England (Dow Jones)--U.K. defense giant BAE Systems PLC (BA.LN) Tuesday announced that it has opened two facilities in Afghanistan to service and maintain the U.S. Army's RG33 special operations command vehicles there. The 16,000-square-foot centers in Bagram and Kandahar will fulfill maintenance tasks, mid-level fabrications and servicing and repairs.
