(ShareCast News) - African Potash has denied claims made by the Daily Mail that the exploration company is looking to carry out a placing at a significant discount to the current share price."The directors wish to clarify to shareholders that this is a speculative and unfounded statement. No such placements are being considered," Potash said.The group said it continues to focus on the progress being made in its landmark trading agreement with Comesa, which is a free trade union of 20 African countries.The Mail Online wrote in its 'Market Report' on Wednesday: "Bears now await a placing at a significant discount to the share price."At 1540 BST, African Potash shares were down 8.8% at 1.1950p.
