Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Declares 1.25P Second Interim Dividend

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Limited (AAIF.LN) Thursday declared a second quarterly interim dividend in respect of the year ending Dec. 31, of 1.25 pence per share. MAIN FACTS: -The first two quarterly dividends, covering the six months to June 30, therefore total 2.5 pence, compared with an interim dividend declared covering the six months to June 30, 2009 of 2.0 pence. -The dividend will be payable on Aug. 15, to Ordinary shareholders on the register on July 23, ex dividend date July 21. -Shares at 0914 GMT down 1.5 pence, or 1.0%, at 148.0 pence.
