(ShareCast News) - WYG has been awarded a two year technical assistance contract by the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Policies on behalf of EuropeAid.The AIM-listed project management and technical consultancy company announced the €8.8m deal on Friday.The company will be the lead partner in a consortium that will provide technical assistance to a major programme to increase social inclusion in Roma populated areas of Turkey.WYG chief executive Paul Hamer said it's some good news after a few challenges for the company."As we reported in June, the delay in agreeing the EU's Multiannual Financial Framework 2014-2020 had a significant impact on our order book in Turkey during 2014."However, bidding activity during the first six months of this year was at an unprecedented level and we are delighted to have secured what we expect will be the first of a number of major projects over the coming months."
