Wizz Air posts strong passenger traffic in August

(ShareCast News) - Low cost airline Wizz Air continued seeing strong passenger numbers in August, with growth of 19% to reach 1.99m.That pushed the company´s load factor higher to 93.2% from 92.2% in the month before.In the 12 months to August the company´s passenger numbers jumped 20% to hit 17.996m.Meanwhile, the company added Nice and Baden-Baden to its network of destinations, together with seven new routes starting in the second half of this financial year in Bulgaria, Slovakia and Hungary.The budget airline´s available seats per kilometres rose 16% to 3.286m, slightly below the 18% pace seen during the year.
