Week ahead: Tesco and Sainsbury's to post sales growth

Results for the year to 28 March are due on Monday and investors will be keen to see how trading has fared since then.Commodity trading giant Glencore had a reputation for secrecy ahead of its London listing, but investors will get a glimpse into the workings of the company when its first interim management statement is issued on Tuesday.Mobile phones seller Carphone Warehouse has raised its earnings guidance for fiscal 2010/11 after having a quick tot up of the fourth quarter numbers. The company now expects full year earnings per share will be in the range of 14.5p to 15p, up from previous guidance of 13.5p to 14.0p. Prior to the change to the earnings guidance, market consensus for earnings per share in the year to 31 March 2011 was 14.19p.
