(Sharecast News) - Multi-occupancy residential property developer Watkin Jones updated the market on a number of transactions in its core sectors on Thursday, reporting the forward funding of a 762-unit mixed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and build-to-rent development in Sheffield, and the sale of 400 student beds across two schemes in Chester.
The AIM-traded firm also said it had reached an agreement for the development of 638 beds across two schemes in Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as the forward funding of two build-to-rent schemes, comprising 325 units, in Sutton and Bournemouth.

Finally, it confirmed the forward sale of a 35 apartment residential development in Chester, and further development of its PBSA pipeline, with new sites secured in Edinburgh and Bath and planning obtained for its site in Bristol.

"I would like to congratulate the teams involved in concluding these various transactions as planned, underlining the resilience and strength of the group's business model, as well as that of the sectors in which we operate," said Watkin Jones chief executive officer Richard Simpson.

"We highly value our institutional clients and partners and it is pleasing to see a number of our key relationships strengthened further at this time."
