Vodafone reached a deal to acquire Spanish broadband telecommunications operator Ono, according to a report in Spanish newspaper Expansión. The investment funds that control the operator reportedly reached a "verbal" agreement to sell the company for €7.2bn (£6.01bn), that would include roughly €3.4bn in debt.The Spanish financial daily said that there were a "few details that remain to be worked out" but the deal is expected to be finalized in the "next few days" and then be passed on for regulatory approval.JM
