Telecoms giant Vodafone shares dropped on Thursday afternoon following reports its Australian network had suffered country-wide problems affecting calls, SMS and data services.Problems were also experienced by several other networks in the country. Vodafone is believed to have offered its customers a weekend of free data to compensate for the problems. Back in 2010, the group suffered from the so-called "Vodafail movement" following an outage in Western Australia which led to multiple issues, complaints and the exit of numerous clients.
