(Sharecast News) - Wall Street futures had major indices opening slightly lower ahead of the bell on Thursday as market participants digested quarterly earnings from Nvidia and Salesforce.
As of 1230 GMT, Dow Jones futures were down 0.05%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures had the indices opening 0.04% and 0.08% softer, respectively.
The Dow closed 307.65 points higher on Wednesday, extending gains recorded in the previous session.
Nvidia ticked slightly higher in pre-market action after reporting a fourth‑quarter earnings and revenue beat, while Salesforce headed lower as the software group issued underwhelming fiscal 2027 revenue projections.
Salesforce, already one of the sector's biggest casualties of recent concerns around AI‑driven disruption, weighed on Dow futures as its outlook reignited worries across the software space.
In terms of Thursday's comapny news, Warner Bros Discovery also posted quarterly numbers, reporting fourth‑quarter revenue of $9.5bn, down 6% year‑on‑year but ahead of expectations, and a 49% narrowed net loss of $252m.
Still to come, Dell Technologies will report earnings after the close.
On the macro front, weekly jobless claims data from the Labor Department will be released at 1330 GMT, while the Kansas Federal Reserve's February manufacturing index will follow at 1600 GMT.
