Unite Group acquires site in Coventry

Developer and manager of student accommodation Unite Students, part of Unite Group, has acquired a development site in the centre of Coventry, which is expected to house up to 280 students.The total investment for the facility, due to open in time for the 2017-18 academic year and located next to an existing Unite property, is expected to be approximately £13m, the FTSE 250 group said."We are delighted to have secured another excellent site in a strong regional location in line with our development strategy," said Richard Simpson, managing director of property for Unite Students."Our properties in Coventry have performed well over the last ten years and this new property will help meet the growing demand for student accommodation in the city."
