Turkey car bomb kills three, injures 20 - report

(ShareCast News) - A car bomb attack on a police station in Midyat, in the Mardin province of southeast Turkey, has killed at least three people and injured 20 more. It is the fifth major attack in Turkey this year.This latest strike, near Turkey's border with Syrian and reported on by Aljazeera, came just a day after another car bomb hit a police vehicle in morning rush-hour Istanbul, leaving 11 dead.UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office has advised against all travel to within 10km of the border with Syria and to the city of Diyarbakir.In particular, it warned against all but essential travel to the remaining areas of Sirnak, Mardin, Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Diyarbakir, Kilis and Hatay provinces, and also Siirt, Tunceli and Hakkari.Several FTSE-quoted travel-related stocks, which are sensitive to such events, fell. The FTSE 350 index for Travel and Leisure was down 0.75%. EasyJet was down 1.78% and TUI dropped 1.53%.
