Tuesday preview: Persimmon, Admiral, Jardine Lloyd

Housebuilder Persimmon is expected to have completed almost 9,000 homes in 2009, raking in £1.4bn of revenue as it benefits from more stable market conditions.It flagged the numbers at the start of the year, so experts don't expect any surprises, but they'll be keen for any news on how things are going in 2010.Panmure Gordon thinks the company will report a pre-tax loss of £4.5m for last year and a net asset value of 535p, but there should be a profit of £13m in 2010.Last month, rival Barratt said it cut the half-year loss before exceptional items to £48.5m from £80.6m the previous year. Total completions fell to 5,053 from 6,905 in 2008, but average selling prices rose.Car insurer Admiral reported a 22% increase in third quarter turnover and 17% jump in customers at October's update, but it trades on a premium to the sector so the results cannot afford to disappoint, says Charles Stanley.It predicts the Confused.com-owner made a pre-tax profit of £211m in 2009, up from £203m the year before.Insurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson is also in action and Panmure thinks underlying pre-tax profit rose 6% to £101m last year on turnover up 13% to £604m, towards the upper end of the £586m to £608m range.Digital TV set-top box maker Pace said in January it was on target to meet management expectations for the twelve months ended 31 December. We'll find out how it did Tuesday.KBC Peel Hunt believes the final results will reassure.
