(Sharecast News) - Tuesday will bring a third-quarter production report from Anglo American and Q3 trading statements from Bunzl, XP Power and Sabre Insurance.
In the US, quarterly results from GE Aerospace and Netflix are due.
As far as Netflix is concerned, AJ Bell analysts said the streaming giant has seen its shares languishing near 12-month lows on fears of decelerating growth and rising content costs, prompting the biggest job cuts in over four years.
"Netflix has a target of doubling advertising revenues in 2026, but the business appears to be scaling more slowly than some analysts expected, so investors will be hoping for confirmation that targets haven't slipped," they said. "More positively, engagement has shown some improvement with viewing hours up in the first half, calming fears about rising competition from TikTok and YouTube.
"Having framed the failed Warner Bros acquisition as a 'nice to have' deal, investors will be hoping for a 'Back to the Future', organic growth strategy, after Netflix's record Q2 share buyback."
On the macro front, the latest UK jobs data will be among the highlights, along with eurozone construction output figures for August and US pending home sales data for September.
