Tuesday preview: Computacenter, inflation, trade figures

Information technology infrastructure services provider Computacenter made a steady start to the year, it said back in April, and this is likely to have continued in the second quarter, Panmure Gordon reckons."We anticipate that group Q1 [first quarter] revenue increased by c2% on a reported basis, hence £1,314.5m," the broker said. "We anticipate services revenue up by c5%. By geography we expect Germany to be reported as being, with the UK recovering in Q2 after an expected weak Q1. We expect Computacenter to comment on the roll-out of the new group ERP [enterprise resource planning] project," Panmure Gordon added.The broker remains a fan of the stock. "Looking ahead, with France in profit, a beefy balance sheet, and continued pull from demand side drivers (desktop refresh, Windows 7, server consolidation etc) the future looks bright," it opined.On the economic front, both the British Retail Consortium and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors bring out reports overnight, the former on the health of the high street and the latter on the current state of the UK housing market.At 9:30am, inflation data for June is to be released. Consensus for Consumer Prices Index inflation is for an unchanged rate of 4.5%, while the economists have pencilled in a rise to 5.5% in Retail Prices Index inflaton, from 5.2% in May.Balance of trade figures are also set to be released.
