Confectioner Cadbury enjoyed strong sales in its UK homeland over Easter but things were tougher on the European mainland and in North America. The Dairy Milk maker left its revenue growth guidance for the full-year unchanged at 4% to 6% back in April while hinting that the final result will be towards the bottom of that range. Stockbroker Nomura is expecting 4% revenue growth over the last three months on the back of strong demand for chewing gum and the enduring popularity of its chocolate brands. The rising oil price will be of concern to cruise operator Carnival, which announces second quarter results on Thursday. It is unlikely that the company will have been able to pass on the full extent of the increase in fuel costs to the customer while at the same time price increases may have dampened demand for what is, after all, a luxury product in a recessionary period. The company may therefore lower its earnings guidance for the full-year.Still in the travel sector but in the less exotic realm of the bus and train passenger, Go-Ahead is scheduled to release a trading statement. Last week the company said its Govia joint venture had retained its South Central rail franchise until July 2015 so attention will switch to the company's current trading performance.Bus revenues are likely to be growing stronger than rail revenues, as the latter is more susceptible to the rise in unemployment.
