Tesco To Open Standalone Clothing Store - Report

LONDON (Dow Jones)--U.K. supermarket giant Tesco PLC (TSCO.LN) is to open a standalone clothing store in London's West End shopping district, the fashion trade magazine Drapers reports Friday. The supermarket, which already sells clothes in its superstores, will brand the shop F&F after Tesco's own-label clothing range, according to Drapers. Terry Green, a consultant to Tesco and formerly head of its clothing division, told Drapers, "We're looking for a store in the West End as a flagship for F&F. It will be a one-off to showcase the brand and complement our online and supermarket offer."
