LONDON (Dow Jones)--Mobile software provider Synchronica PLC (SYNC.LN) said Thursday it has sold a batch of licenses for its Mobile Gateway product that will bring in an extra $1.25 million of revenue in its first half. The firm said its distributor Brightstar Corp secured the contract and license order for a large number of Mobile Gateway 4.1 licenses with a major Latin American multinational operator that it didn't name. It said further orders, and professional and support services are expected to follow. Synchronica's Mobile Gateway provides push email and mobile synchronisation services and has recently been expanded to include instant messaging, news feeds and access to popular social networking sites. The company added that it has also received its first purchase order through its global reseller agreement with Nokia Siemens Networks for a mobile operator in north Africa. It has also recently received a purchase order for Mobile Gateway licenses from an Indonesia-based device manufacturer which is worth just over $1 million and will also be recognized in the first half of this year. -By Hannah Benjamin, Dow Jones Newswires; 44-20-7842-9298;
