(Sharecast News) - St James's Place has confirmed the appointment of Iain Cornish and Roger Yates as chair and senior independent director, respectively, with immediate effect.The company announced back in May that Sarah Bates had decided to retire as chair and as a director of the company and that Cornish and Yates were in the frame for the new roles.It also said in August that David Lamb, managing director of Investments, would retire as a director early next year. St James's Place confirmed on Monday that Lamb will retire on 26 February 2019.The recruitment of a further independent non-executive director is ongoing but in the interim, Cornish has agreed to continue as interim chair of the Board Risk Committee.At 1440 BST, the shares were down 1.7% to 1,107.50p.
