Sports Direct in advanced talks to sell Shirebrook property

(Sharecast News) - Mike Ashley's Sports Direct said on Friday that it is in advanced talks to sell a freehold property in Shirebrook for just over £12m in cash.If the deal completes, the company will take a 15-year lease of the property and continue to operate it as a distribution centre, offices and retail.Sports Direct said it plans to put the proceeds of the sale towards working capital and its group operations.At 1600 BST, the shares were up 1% at 295.25p.
