Lighthouse Group is selling its pension administration business to pension specialist Mattioli Woods for £1.85m. The book gain on the disposal is £1.2m. There should be a net cash inflow to the AIM-quoted IFA of £1.6m. The businesses made a small loss on revenues of £786,000 in 2009. The total assets under administration are £300m. The transaction will add 965 self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs), 123 small self-administered pension schemes (SSASs) and 14 funded unapproved retirement benefit schemes to AIM-quoted Mattioli Woods' portfolio. Peru-focused oil and gas producer Maple Energy reported a rise in revenues from $28.3m to $35m in the six months to June 2010. The $1.76m gain on the sale of a rig helped to reduce the company's loss from $4.57m to $257,000. Maple expects to start production of ethanol in the middle of 2011. First Artist Corporation says that it is in talks with a potential bidder. The sports agency and theatre productions promoter says the talks are at an early stage.
