(ShareCast News) - Shares in Sirius Minerals jumped 5% on Tuesday after it said the UK government has chosen not to call a public inquiry into the company's planning applications for the York Potash Project in the UK.The company said that local planning authorities will now have no barrier to issuing the decisions notice, following previous positive resolutions to grant by each authority.The decisions are for the mine and mineral transport system applications to both the North York Moors National Park Authority and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Sirius said.Managing director and chief executive officer Chris Fraser said: "This is yet another positive step forward on our pathway to developing the Project and increasing shareholder value."
