(Sharecast News) - Specialist quarried materials group SigmaRoc announced that both the company and the Swedish state had filed appeals against a recent court verdict.

The AIM-traded firm had said on 15 March that it successfully won a claim against the Swedish state.

However, the state had since lodged an appeal against the verdict, and SigmaRoc filed its own appeal in response.

"The group remains confident in the merits of its case and will keep the markets informed of any further developments," the board said in its statement.

At 1438 BST, shares in SigmaRoc were up 1.25% at 54.27p.
