(ShareCast News) - Challenger bank Shawbrook Group has appointed Dylan Minto as chief financial officer and executive director with effect from 6 February.The specialist lending and savings bank said Minto's appointment follows an extensive market search for the best candidate following the departure of Tom Wood back in June.Minto, wjho joined Shawbrook in September 2013, played a significant role in the IPO preparations and the development of the 2020 strategy evolution and has successfully taken on the role of interim chief financial officer since Wood's departure. Prior to Shawbrook, he was at KPMG for eleven years where he qualified as a chartered accountant, had a high-profile M&A client facing role and worked on a number of major UK and European bank resolution projects.Chief executive officer Steve Pateman said: "I am delighted to confirm Dylan as Shawbrook's CFO. Dylan has been instrumental in the success and achievements of Shawbrook since joining in 2013."Dylan's experience within the group, the relationship he holds with investors and analysts, and his wider involvement in the sector prepare him well for the CFO role.
