(Sharecast News) - Serinus Energy has started a 105 kilometre 2D acquisition programme in Romania, it announced on Tuesday.
The AIM-traded firm said the data acquisition was planned to take 10 days, with the data collected to be sent for processing and AVO analysis.

It said the seismic programme was being shot to the north of the Moftinu gas field, providing additional seismic coverage over its highest-ranked exploration prospects.

"The goal of the program is to augment existing legacy 2D seismic in the area and infill the existing coverage," the board said in its statement.

"Once the data has been processed, the company expects that this new seismic data will de-risk these identified prospects and allow the company to select the optimum drilling locations for the upcoming 2022 three-well drilling programme to be commenced in the third quarter of 2022."

At 1413 GMT, shares in Serinus Energy were down 0.33% at 1.67p.
