Seeing Machines wins deal with Aussie air force

(Sharecast News) - Australia-based computer vision technology business Seeing Machines has inked its first commercial program agreement out of its aviation division.The AIM-listed firm will develop a new pilot training system for the Royal Australian Air Force, providing eye- and face-tracking sensor technologies in order to help the military wing improve transport safety using various high-tech systems.The initial engagement between the pair will also enable Seeing Machines to demonstrate its core capability - which it said holds "considerable potential" for future deployment across a "broad range of military platforms and systems".Chief executive Ken Kroeger, said: "This program follows on from our successful engagement with several major airline carriers, simulator manufacturers and air traffic management services and is affirmation that the substantial work done by our team to develop this market is now paying off."As of 0840 GMT, Seeing Machines shares had picked up 3.63% to 4.72p.
