Sector movers: Ted Baker and Mulberry in fashion

The retail sector is going well, with two fashion brands higher after updates.First half profits surged at Ted Baker as both UK and international sales roared ahead. Sales in the half year to June rose by 15% to £88.1m with profit before tax up 25% to £7.5m.Also higher is luxury fashion label Mulberry. Over the ten weeks to 2 October, sales in Mulberry's UK shops have jumped 57% compared to last year.The construction and materials sector is lower despite good gains from showers and tiles group Norcros, which has seen a turnaround in its South African business, despite continued uncertain market conditions.
