Environmental consultancy RPS posted broadly flat revenues and profits in a year in which it said the timing of recovery varied from market to market.Pre-tax profits climbed to £23.4m from £23.3m the previous year on revenues that jumped to £226m from £222.4m.Chairman Brook Land said that as expected only some markets showed signs of recovery.'There have been early signs of improvement in the oil and gas market and in our risk management activities in the UK,' he said. 'Improvement in other markets is generally not yet discernible and in Ireland the expected level of infrastructure investment suggests we will experience further contraction before achieving stability.'
