Rolls-Royce wins Trent 1000 engine contract with Air China

Rolls-Royce's Trent 1000 engines have been selected by Air China to power 15 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.Air China, which will also take the engine makers' TotalCare aftermarket support, already has 49 Trent 700-powered Airbus A330 aircraft in service, with four to be delivered, and 10 Trent XWB-powered Airbus A350XWB aircraft on order."This is a significant selection by a valued customer and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with Air China," said chief executive John Rishton."The Trent 1000 offers operators outstanding lifetime fuel burn performance and reliability on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner," he said.
