Rolls-Royce wins Brazilian crane deal

Engineering group Rolls-Royce has won a deal of undisclosed value to provide cranes for ships used to take supplies to oil rigs.Rolls has signed a contract with Detroit Chile to supply 18 cranes for nine platform supply vessels being built at Itajal in Brazil.The boats designed by Guido Perla will enter service on an eight-year contract with state-owned Brazilian oil company Petrobras.Detroit Chile subsidiary Brazilian Starnav Serviços Marìtimos will run the vessels.Shares in Rolls-Royce rose 10p or 1% to 1,036p at 14:50 in London.PW
