Rolls-Royce extends agreement with Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Airlines has signed up for Rolls-Royce's long-term TotalCare services support for Trent 900 engines that will power the airline's new fleet of six Airbus A380 aircraft.The UK power systems developer already provides support services for the airline's Trent 800 engines which power its fleet of 17 Boeing 777 aircraft.The Trent 900 is currently in service with five airlines and powered the first Airbus A380 to enter service in 2007. TotalCare long-term service agreements cover more than 90% of Trent engines globally.Earlier on Monday Rolls-Royce announced that it has won a contract to service M250 engines for the US Army's OH-58D Kiowa Warrior scout helicopters. The contract, valued at $183m, involves the service of 500 M250 engines for more than 300 aircraft. It begins this month and the Army has the option to extend it for four additional years.
