Rolls-Royce has completed the sale of its half share of a helicopter engine programme to Safran for 293 million euros (249 million pounds) in cash.Safran's Turbomeca arm takes full responsibility for the RTM322 programme and will manage the design, production and support for the engine, which powers the Apache, EH101 Merlin and NH90 helicopters. Rolls-Royce said the RRTM Adour engine programme, which powers the Hawk and Jaguar aircraft, was unaffected by the sale and that the same went for its other helicopter engine programmes.
