(Sharecast News) - Information and analytics firm Relx said on Thursday that trading remained strong through the first nine months of 2026, with underlying revenues up 7% and continued momentum across its higher-value analytics and decision tool businesses.

Relx said its risk division had delivered 8% underlying revenue growth year‑to‑date, driven by demand for AI‑enabled analytics built on its contributory and proprietary datasets. It also expects full‑year adjusted operating profit growth in risk to outpace revenue growth.

Financial crime compliance, digital fraud and identity solutions, and strong new sales continued to underpin strength in its business services unit, while insurance benefited from further innovation and adoption of contributory databases.

Relx's scientific, technical and medical arm posted 6% underlying revenue growth, supported by a faster cadence of new product launches and strong new sales, with higher value analytics and decision tools remaining the key driver, while its legal division delivered 10% underlying revenue growth, reflecting strong demand for AI‑enabled legal research and analytics tools.

Exhibitions saw 4% underlying revenue growth, with a strong event portfolio offset slightly by disruption in the Middle East. It said digital initiatives continued to progress and expects underlying revenue growth to remain strong, excluding the regional impact, with an improvement in full‑year operating margin.

As a result, the FTSE 100-listed firm reiterated its full‑year outlook for another year of solid revenues, adjusted operating profits and earnings per share growth.

As of 0850 BST, Relx shares were up 0.30% at 2,982p.
