PV Oil To Continue Supplying Crude To Dung Quat Refinery -Official

HANOI (Dow Jones)--PV Oil, the trading arm of state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, will sign a contract Thursday to continue supplying crude oil to the Dung Quat refinery, an official with the plant's operator said. Under the contract, PV Oil will continue to be the sole supplier of crude to the 130,000-barrel-a-day oil processing plant, said the official with Binh Son Refinery Co., who declined to be named. "PV Oil will be in charge of securing domestic and imported crude oil for the operation of the plant," he told Dow Jones Newswires. He said PV Oil is finalizing talks with BP PLC (BP) on importing crude oil for the plant. State media said Thursday that PV Oil has also reached agreements with the operators of the Ca Ngu Vang and Doi Moi fields for crude oil to supply to the refinery, as output from the Bach Ho field is declining. The two fields could provide 1,250 metric tons or 9,162 barrels a day, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
