Provexis widens Fruitflow approvals

Functional foods developer Provexis has gained approval from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to use its Fruitflow technology in dietary supplements. Fruitflow was already allowed to be used in drinks by the EFSA. Provexis can also use the claim that Fruitflow "helps maintain normal platelet aggregation, which contributes to healthy blood flow".Provexis announced a long-term alliance with DSM Nutritional Products to commercialise Fruitflow technology at the beginning of June. DSM has exclusive global rights to Fruitflow. However, DSM Venturing cut its stake from 17.85% to 12.95% on 23 July.
