DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Program trading dropped slightly last week on the NYSE Euronext (NYX) as total volume also declined. The daily program trading volume average was 623.3 million, or 27.4% of the average total of 2.28 billion shares changing hands. Those figures were down from 660.5 million, or 28.7% of the 2.3 billion average volume posted a week earlier. The most active NYSE member for program trading was Morgan Stanley (MS). It was followed by Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), Barclays PLC (BCS, BARC.LN) and Wedbush Securities Inc.
