Premier Foods Appoints Ronnie Bell Non-Executive Chairman

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Premier Foods PLC (PFD.LN), a U.K.-based food producer, said Wednesday it appointed Ronnie Bell, the former president of Kraft Foods Europe, as non-executive chairman of the company. MAIN FACTS: -In addition, Charles Miller Smith has been appointed non-executive deputy chairman. -Bell is currently non-executive chairman of Milk Link, a U.K.-based integrated dairy business. -Both the appointments are effective Oct. 1. -Shares on Tuesday closed at 19.5 pence, valuing the company at GBP467.6 million. -By Tapan Panchal, Dow Jones Newswires.
