Porvair to beat expectations

6th Dec 2010 14:22

Filtration and environmental technologies supplier Porvair says that its full year figures will be better than expected due to strong fourth quarter trading. Revenues, based on unchanged exchange rates, will be 15% higher and pre-tax profit well ahead of the previous year. Both divisions grew their revenues with metals filtration advancing by 20%. Operating profit improved sharply because of the sales of higher margin new products and cost cutting. Microfiltration revenues were 10% higher and performed in line with expectations.Order books are at "satisfactory levels". Net debt has fallen by 30% to £10m. Porvair will announce its figures for the year to November 2010 on 25 January.
